Welcome to the website of multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and audio-engineer Fredrik Kinbom.

His main instrument is Lap Steel Guitar. As an audio engineer he specialises in Mastering.

Fredrik has decades of experience in music, as a solo artist/songwriter, composer for film and theatre (mainly with his collaborative projects Kinbom/Brandenburg and Kinbom & Kessner), as a touring musician (with his own projects and playing with artists like Ned Collette, Gemma Ray, Gurrumul, Moulettes and Alberta Cross). He has contributed as a co-writer to albums by Sarah Blasko and Gemma Ray.

He co-founded the band Red Largo in 2023, and their debut album Transmitting (2024) received great reviews in publications like The Wire and three nominations for the German Record Critics’ Award.

Having produced many of his own albums over the years, the natural step to build up a professional studio was taken in 2020, and Fredrik since then works out of his studio Madame Vega’s Boudoir, doing mastering (and upon request mixing) for other artists.

Fredrik was born in Stockholm, Sweden but is based in Berlin, Germany since 2012.
